Anyone can signup to bid for our online auctions on GovernmentAuction.com. There are no income requirements or restrictions of any kind. Signup is simple and free. Other online land auction companies may charge an annual membership fee of $50 to $100, but at GovernmentAuction.com, we will never charge you a fee to access our catalogs of land for sale.

Once you register to bid at GovernmentAuction.com, you can bid in live auctions, timed auctions or Buy It Now auctions of land previously owned by the U.S. Government. You can bid on a number of different types of land and homes, including government surplus land, seized government properties, foreclosures, pre-foreclosures, residential lots, recreational property, rural land, farm land, hunting land, ranch land, homesites, homes, ranchettes and more.

You can bid on U.S. government land auctioned as a Bid and Assume sale, in which your bid is your down payment and you then assume monthly payments on the property if you win the auction. Or you can bid on U.S. government surplus land auctioned as a straight sale, which means what you bid is the total price you pay (plus a low processing fee) if you win the auction.
